Riding with Purpose

The Maryland Stop on the 22 States in 22 Days Journey

There is nothing quite like the feeling of the open road—the rumble of the engine beneath you, the wind in your face, and the freedom of the highway unfolding ahead. But for a dedicated group of riders traveling across the country right now, that open road represents something far deeper. It represents healing, solidarity, and a life-saving mission.

Every single day in the United States, an average of 22 veterans lose their invisible battles and die by suicide. It’s a staggering, heartbreaking statistic. But Riding 22 in 22 VSA (Veteran Suicide Awareness) is on a mission to turn those numbers into action, bringing communities together to ensure no veteran or caregiver has to ride out these storms alone.

As part of their massive Annual 22 States in 22 Days Benefit Ride, the convoy is making its official Maryland State Stop, and they want you to stand—and ride—with them.

The Mission Beyond the Miles

Riding 22 in 22 VSA is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit organization. Their cross-country trek spans 22 days, hitting 22 different states, partnering with local motorcycle dealerships, and creating a traveling community of support.

The funds raised during this monumental effort go directly toward making a tangible difference. They provide critical assistance—including transportation, lodging, and meals—for veterans and their spouses to attend life-changing mental health treatments through programs like STRIVE. Furthermore, the organization champions the power of "wind therapy," using the camaraderie of group rides to fight isolation and give veteran bikers a therapeutic release.

Rolling into Maryland: How to Get Involved

The Maryland leg of the journey is shaping up to be an unforgettable day of purpose, respect, and community. Whether you are a lifelong biker, a local supporter, or someone who wants to honor our nation's heroes, there is a place for you.

  • Where: Rommel Delmarva Harley-Davidson

  • The Contribution: A suggested donation of $20 per rider and $10 per passenger.

  • Who Can Join? Everyone! All forms of transportation are welcome. You don’t need a motorcycle to participate; cars, trucks, and enthusiasts are all part of the family.

The ride is designed to be meaningful, comfortable, and deeply respectful. As the convoy travels from state to state, they make deliberate stops at local military memorials and roadside attractions, giving everyone a chance to reflect on the sacrifices made by our service members.

How Much of the Journey Will You Take?

One of the best things about the Riding 22 in 22 VSA journey is its inclusivity. You don’t have to commit to the entire cross-country haul to make an impact. You can choose your own adventure:

  • Join in for just one gas stop to show your support.

  • Ride out for the entire Maryland state leg.

  • Keep going across several states.

  • Or, if you're feeling the ultimate call of the road, go ALL IN for all 22 states!

Can’t Make the Ride? You Can Still Fuel the Healing

If you can’t join the physical convoy in Maryland, you can still be the wind beneath their wings. You can support the mission by:

  1. Donating Directly: Every dollar helps cover treatment-related lodging, meals, and therapy for struggling veterans and caregivers.

  2. Entering the 2026 Motorcycle Raffle: Grab a ticket to win a stunning, custom-built motorcycle sponsored by Moto Boutique, Freedom V-Twin, and Aftermath Collision. Tickets are just $22 each (or 5 for $100), and all proceeds directly fund veteran outreach.

  3. Spreading the Word: Share their mission, reduce the stigma surrounding veteran mental health, and start the conversation in your own community.

Come Ride for Those Who Served

Every mile ridden spreads awareness. Every dollar raised sparks hope. Let’s make sure that when the Riding 22 in 22 VSA convoy rolls into Maryland, they get a welcome they will never forget.
