La Plata, Maryland – November 9, 2025

Today, members of CVMA® Maryland 40-3 proudly participated in the La Plata Veterans Day Parade, joining the community to honor all who have served this great nation. Flags waved high, engines rumbled, and the gold and scarlet colors of our Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association® stood tall among fellow patriots and supporters lining the streets.

The Meaning of Veterans Day

Veterans Day is more than a holiday—it’s a day of reflection, gratitude, and unity. It honors the men and women who have worn the uniform of the United States Armed Forces, standing watch over our freedom. Each salute, handshake, and cheer carries a message of appreciation for those who sacrificed their comfort so others could live free.

For our chapter, this day is personal. Every member of CVMA® 40-3 carries a story of service—and a continued commitment to the veteran community long after the uniform is hung up. Moments like today remind us why we ride, why we serve, and why we continue our mission every day.

Veterans Helping Veterans

Our motto, “Vets Helping Vets,” is more than words—it’s action. By showing up in the community, we raise awareness for the challenges many veterans still face: homelessness, PTSD, unemployment, and reintegration struggles. Each event, each handshake, and each conversation strengthens our network of support and reminds veterans they are not alone.

Every mile ridden and every flag displayed represents a connection—from one veteran to another, from our chapter to our community. Through this visibility, we move our mission forward: ensuring no veteran is left behind.

Continuing the Mission

As we close out today’s parade, we reflect on the meaning behind our presence: service, respect, and brotherhood. We’re grateful for everyone who came out to honor our nation’s heroes. Together, we keep the legacy of service alive—one ride, one event, and one veteran at a time.
